Fit Couch Potato?

We couch potatoes are prone to various health issues like obesity with the lack of physical activities among us.  So, would it be possible to stay fit?  Of course it could be possible if we believe in it.  Since we are not really physically active, we may concentrate on our diet, proper diet.

Eat right.  Choose the foods that you eat carefully.  Just be a bit choosy when eating, choose those that have less calories and helps you maintain healthy weight.  Fruits and vegetables are said to be healthy.  Focus on fruits and veggies that have the most color. They’re generally the most nutritious. Here are other useful tips to lessen fat in our food intake:

  • Use evaporated milk instead of higher-fat cream in baked goods, sauces and soups.
  • Select yogurt or milk products without added sugar or flavorings. For a better taste, mix it in fresh fruit.
  • Instead of deep-frying,use other methods like roasting,broiliing, or steaming for less fat usage.

Another useful thing to do is to limit the amount of food that we eat.  Maybe we can set a standard measure on the amount of food that we must take each day or each meal.

It is important that we are aware of the consequences that lies ahead for being a couch potato.  Let’s not wait for the time that we are already having health problems before we take action.  Remember that prevention is better than cure.
