Pear-shaped VS. Apple-shaped

Did you know that you should rather watch your waist line than your weight?  Fats that collect around the waist is at better risk than those with the pear-shape figures or have their fats at the bottom, hips and thighs.  It is because of the fats stored in these parts are close to our vital organs like the heart and the liver.  Unlike with the pear-shaped bodies, fats are stored around the bottom, hips, and thighs which are far from our vital organs.

This doesn’t mean that you have to eat less food but only less trans fat.  Trans fat are usually found in margarines, crackers and biscuits.

As couch potatoes, it is important that we be aware of these information that concerns our health.  We have chosen this lifestyle and therefore we should be responsible enough to take care of our health since we do less physical activities.  If we can’t do much of physical activities, then we can concentrate on our food intake.  I hope this piece of information helps.

Ruined Couch Potato

Due to nature tripping, one couch potato has been ruined.  An evening hike changed the couch potato lifestyle of Rob Maxwell.

Just one year ago I was overweight and out of shape. I was content to laze about. Now I can’t seem to get enough time outside. My bookshelves groan under the weight of field guides and my car is littered with binoculars and spotting scopes. The hall is crowded with winter clothes and a pair of showshoes, and I just know my neighbors are going to start a petition against me when the kayak shows up. What have these people done to me? Do you think my insurance will cover something like this? The community needs to be warned about this kind of goings on.

For all those who are stuck in the couch watching television, you may say that you are not interested with the outside world.  But if ever you were given an opportunity to take a look and discover the beauty of nature, or things that you haven’t tried yet, just try it.  Try it once, give yourself a chance.  The television is always there, you can access it anytime of the day.  If you worry that you might miss your favorite program, well, there are recorders and a lot of technologies to help you with that.  While outdoor activities may only come at a time.
