Don’t Want To Be A Couch Potato?
“Keep active! That’s Barney Barnhart’s advice to seniors. The 81-year-old man from Granite Falls is staying active by patrolling his neighborhood.”
There are many simple ways on how to keep yourself active. Just like doing volunteering acts, you can lose calories and did some good deeds at the same time making your idle times worthy. Taking care of your neighbor’s baby might not be a bothersome to you, so you can volunteer to take care of the baby at some times.
You don’t have to join heavy activities just to make yourself fit. If you have the qualities of a couch potato, but don’t want to stay on the couch, then go out and do some walking. Visit a neighbor, have some chit chats or share cooking ideas and the likes. Maybe you can as well organize some activities in the neighborhood. Like family day, charity activities, and the likes.
There are so many things that you can do off the couch that doesn’t require a great amount of physical strength. Just be creative and enjoy it.
